“Songkran in Bloom” is a cultural event hosted by the Institute of Asian Studies, Chulalongkorn University, with the goal of presenting and communicating academic research on the heritage of Songkran, Thailand’s traditional New Year celebration. Creager led both event and visual experience design, including projection mapping visual creation and event operation, to transform the cultural storytelling into an engaging and modern multimedia experience. The creative direction blends contemporary aesthetics with deeply rooted Thai cultural elements, reflecting the joyful spirit, rituals, and heritage of Songkran. Through immersive projection mapping on the Museum Siam façade and a well-curated event design, the project brought Thai tradition into a fresh, global-minded presentation. This created a meaningful environment where audiences could celebrate, learn, and reconnect with the cultural identity of Songkran in a new and exciting way.
